Activities and venues to be confirmed so watch this space The purpose of this week will be to engage the female sector of the football community. This will be done by holding a female only Junior Licence (18th/19th) and female only referee introductory course (mid week, date TBC). You can meet Nick and Andrew the hosts of Going Bush, find your carbon footprint, discover forest insects under the microscope, get hands on with forest fire fighting, have a photo with Krusty the GIANT burrowing crayfish, sing along to bush songs and measure trees. Saturday the 14th saw the first week of the come and try day for beach football kickoff at Kingston Beach. The afternoon brought out over 60 children form Kingston and surrounding suburbs. The two hour event was rated as a success by all involved and was seen as a great foundation to build on for the coming weeks. Football Federation Tasmania and Kingborough Council are also very happy with how the event went. Football Federation Tasmania spokesman Anthony Alexander said, "Today has been incredible, I am very pleased with response of the community in supporting this inaugural event here at Kingston Beach".
