2016 Female Football Week

Football Federation Tasmania (FFT) is hosting a Female Football Week in 2016, from March 8th – March 14th.

The week will be dedicated to females and their opportunities and achievements within Football and the important roles they play.

Female Football Week will be celebrated with a week full of many different exciting events and activities with the objective of recognising the contributions of Females in all areas of football.

The celebrations will run from March 8th– 14th, with International Women’s Day kicking the week off. FFT  are encouraging local clubs, associations and football people to get involved by holding their own activities.

Devonport Girls Small-Sided Football Games ‘Bring a Friend and Come and Try’ Session

What: Fun Small-Sided Football (soccer) Games, Included: Fun Competitions with Give-Aways, a great chance to bring along your friends to see if they want to play football with you in 2016!

Where: Devonport (TBC)

When: Tuesday 8th March 2016

Time: 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Women’s 5-a-side Football Friendly Games ‘bring a friend’

A fun evening full of small-sided games for registered and non-registered females. Enter a team, bring along your female friends who would like to give football a go in a fun environment.

Where: KGV Football Ground

Time: 7:30 pm to 8:30pm

Grassroots Course for Females

This session is for females, a great course for female footballers or Mum’s who are considering about coaching their child’s school football team or a club team in 2016. This will be a fun and casual practical session that delivers the basics of how to coach.

Time: 6:30PM - 8:30PM
